Mr. Büyüksimitci was born in 1965 in Kayseri. Mr. Büyüksimitci completed his primary and secondary education at Ahmet Paşa Primary School, Dedeman Secondary School and Kayseri High School. In 1987, he graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He worked in the HES group between 1988 and 2000. In early 2000, he founded Güven Engineering Company with his friends. He is currently a partner of 2 companies together with Anka Elektrik LLC and is actively involved in their management.

Between 15.03.2005-27.06.2011, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Chamber of Industry, between 27.06.2011-14.10.2016, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Büyüksimitci was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors on 14.10.2016. Mr. Büyüksimitci was re-elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors on 13.04.2018. Mr. Büyüksimitci was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye on 29.05.2018. On 08.10.2022, Mr. Büyüksimitci, who was re-elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors by renewing his confidence as a result of the Chamber Organ elections held on 08.10.2022, was re-elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye as a result of the 79th TOBB General Assembly held on May 31, 2023.

Mehmet Büyüksimitci, who is married and has two children, speaks English.
