Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Cengiz Günay, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Foreign Trade Exporters of the Year Award Ceremony held in Sarajevo. Günay also met with Vjekoslav Vukovic of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Foreign Trade and exchanged views. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Air Conditioning Council Meeting was held in Ankara under the chairmanship of Zeki Poyraz, the President of the Council, with the participation of TOBB Board Member Selçuk Öztürk, Ministry of Industry and Technology General Director of Industry İlker Murat Ar and Deputy General Director İsmail Musab Gülaçar.​

The December 2024 extraordinary meeting of the Mediation Board, which was established within the scope of the Law No. 6325 on Mediation in Civil Disputes, was held at the Ankara Judges’ House.​

Seyit Ardıç, Member of the Board of Directors representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, attended the Trade Facilitation Coordination Committee General Assembly Meeting held at the Ministry of Trade on December 9, 2024. At the meeting, Ardıç conveyed TOBB's views on the Trade Facilitation 2024-2028 Action Plan. ​

An important step has been taken to strengthen vocational education in Türkiye and to bring young people together with a sector-integrated education model. A cooperation protocol was signed between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Vocational Education Board and Simav Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Şeref Kazcıoğlu and Ministry of National Education (MEB) General Director of Vocational and Technical Education Ali Karagöz.​

Cengiz Günay, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), met with Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice President of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

The sixteenth Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP16) is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia between 2 - 13 December 2024.​

In 2024, trainings were organized in six geographical regions under the coordination of TOBB for the staff of Regional Directorates of Customs and Foreign Trade and the relevant Chamber employees regarding the implementation of the current legislation on the subsequent control of origin and circulation documents and rules of origin.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in the first 11 months of 2024 decreased by 5.7% (2,750 units) compared to the same period last year and became 45,492.​

TOBB Türkiye Medical Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Levent Mete Özgürbüz, President of the Sector Council, with the participation of S. Zeki Murzioğlu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TOBB; Cengiz Delibaş, Deputy Secretary General of TOBB; Şinasi Candan, General Manager of the State Supply Office; Mehmet Koca, Deputy General Manager of DMO; Turan Öz, Gökçe Kaplan, Ali Anıl Boz, Department Heads of DMO; and Osman Bahçekapılı, Head of Supply Planning, Stock and Logistics Management Department of the General Directorate of Public Hospitals.​
