Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The 7th Official Meeting of the IPARD III Program Monitoring Committee was held in İzmir on June 23–24, 2026. Dr. Pınar Nacak, Director of Exchanges, attended the meeting on behalf of TOBB. Nacak presented the IPARD II Ex-post Evaluation and provided assessments regarding project applications and ongoing projects under the IPARD III Program. ​

The TIR Committee of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) convened via videoconference. During the meeting, requests from companies to join the TIR System and incidents involving companies engaged in international transportation were discussed and resolved. ​

TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council (KGK) Marmara Regional Meeting was held in Sapanca, hosted by the TOBB Sakarya Women Entrepreneurs Council, which operates under the coordination of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​​

A delegation led by Vladimir Dlouhý, President of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Eurochambres), held high-level meetings in Washington from June 16 to 18, 2026. The delegation also included Mustafa Bayburtlu, Deputy Secretary General of TOBB. During the visit, meetings were held with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), the Department of Commerce, the Department of State, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, think tanks, and members of Congress.​​

Fumio Adachi, Head of the UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, and Süleyman Yılmaz, UNIDO Representative in Türkiye, visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB). During the visit, discussions were held regarding a business delegation of Japanese technology companies planned for September 2026 to Türkiye ​

An information meeting was held, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.​​

Hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ankara and the Center for Food, Beverage, and Agricultural Policy Research (GİFT), a meeting titled “Growing Tomorrow: The Future of Climate Change, Water, and Agriculture” was held. Ali Çandır, a member of the TOBB Board of Directors, attended the meeting on behalf of TOBB.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Packaging Council Meeting was attended by TOBB Board of Directors members Zeki Kıvanç and Engin Yeşil; Elif Berrak Taşyürek, Director of the EU Single Market and Green Deal Department at the Ministry of Trade’s Directorate General for International Agreements and the EU; Erdinç Erbay, Acting Branch Director at the General Directorate of Imports; and Hakan Acar, Climate Finance and Incentives Specialist at the Climate Change Directorate, under the chairmanship of Council President Mustafa Tacir.​

Edvar Mum, Chairman of the Turkish Free Zones Council under the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), visited Niels Veenis, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Dutch Embassy.​​

The 6th Türkiye-Germany Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) Meeting was held in Ankara with the participation of Katherina Reiche, Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, and Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade.​
