Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Prof. Dr. Güven Sak, Rector of TOBB University of Economics and Technology, has quit office as Rector voluntarily to focus on academic studies. According to the resolution, signed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Sarınay was appointed Rector in his place.​

The TIR Committee, appointed by the TOBB Board of Directors over a two-year period, convened via video conference chaired by the TOBB Board of Directors Vice President and TIR Committee Chairman Tamer Kıran.​

The Tax Advisory Council of the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) convened via video conference under the chairmanship of Council Chairman Fatih Dural and the participation of TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Chambers of Commerce Council President Gürsel Baran attended the meeting on Understanding the Disaster Risks of the Turkish Disaster Risk Reduction Platform at the AFAD Directorate Congress Hall. ​

The number of newly established companies and the number of cooperatives increased by 6,32% and 56,10% while the number of sole proprietorships and decreased by 8,46% according to the previous month.​

The Tax Advisory Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) convened on August 18th, 2020, via video conference under the chairmanship of Council President Fatih Dural with the participation of TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç.​

The Freight Delivery Instruction Form meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Commerce Reza Tuna Turagay. The meeting, which saw participation from all parties of the sector, was attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Vice President and İMEAK Maritime Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Tamer Kıran and TOBB Deputy Secretary General Cengiz Delibaş. At the meeting where the Freight Delivery Form was evaluated from different perspectives, it was decided that the matter should be discussed after further examination. ​

The Ufuk2020 Program Monitoring and Guidance Board, which was established to determine strategies and actions to ensure the effective operation of the Framework Programs of the European Union in Turkey, to mobilize, encourage, inform, support the main R&D and innovation actors within the framework of the designated Strategy, was carried out with the participation of TUBITAK Chairman Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and Deputy Foreign Minister Faruk Kaymakcı.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Leather and Leather Products Industry Council convened online under TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç for its first meeting of the new term.​
