405 Fairs to be held in 2012

TOBB Media and Communication Council convened
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Media and Communication Council convened under Hakan Güldağ and the TOBB Union Center. Sector representative council members presented their opinions and suggestions during the meeting where the problems of the sector and solution proposals were addressed.

Turkish speaking entrepreneurs came together at TOBB
The 13th Turkish Speaking Entrepreneurs Program has started. The program, bringing together business world representatives from 22 countries and 4 autonomous regions, will continue until September 28th 2011 in Ankara, Istanbul, Kayseri and Nevşehir.

TOBB ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Altunbaşak appointed TÜBİTAK President
TOBB ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Altunbaşak has been appointed to the Turkey Scientific and Technological Research Institute’s (TÜBİTAK) Presidency. The article regarding his appointment was published on the 29th of August, 2011 in the Official Gazette numbered 28026. The article states that in accordance with the 5th clause of the 278. Legislation of the Turkey Scientific and Technical Research Institute Establishment, Prof. Dr. Altunbaşak’s appointment is ratified.

Earthenware Industry Products Council prepares for sector report
The TOBB Turkey Earthenware Industry Products Council met in Ankara to discuss the sector’s problems. Sector representatives expressed their gratification for the TOBB Sector Councils Directorate’s “Portal for Sectors” project and informed the council members regarding the “Fire and Security Symposium” to be held in October.
