The number of the newly established companies increased by 35,90% in January 2013 with respect to previous month.

The number of the newly established companies and sole proprietorships increased by 35,90% and 22,06% respectively while cooperatives decreased by 5,97% according to the previous month. ​

According to TOBB’s International Land Transportation Statistics;

​During the January of 2013 an increase of 2.09% was observed in the number of Authorization Permits in comparison to the January of the previous year while a decrease of 1.74% was observed for TIR Carnets in the same period. ​

Halim Mete talked about TOBB’s logistics projects at the World Customs Day

​ At the dinner organized by the İstanbul Customs Brokers Association in regards to the January 26th World Customs Day celebrations and attended by the Minister of Customs and Trade Hayati Yazıcı and the Presidents of the Customs Brokers Associations of Ankara, İzmir, Bursa and Mersin, the Declaration of Customs Brokers Ethics Values was signed. ​

Maritime Council convened in Ä°stanbul

​ TOBB Turkey Maritime Council convened in İstanbul to discuss the problems of the sector and possible solutions. During the meeting, Turkey’s 2023 goals, the role of maritime trade, international competition and preparations for a sector report discussed. ​

2012 Industry Capacity Report statistics

​ The number of Capacity Reports in 2011 increased by 12.09% in 2012, increasing from 57,041 to 63,937. Of the production facilities 39.86% employ between 1 and 9; 46.47% employ between 10 and 49; 6.38% employ between 50 and 99; 5.07% employ between 100 and 249; 2.22% employ 250 personnel. ​

Earth Industry Council assessed developments regarding the fire legislation

​ TOBB Turkey Earth Industry Products Council convened in Ankara to assess the developments regarding the fire legislation and the TS 825 revision. The representatives of the Environment and Urbanism Ministry announced that the said legislation has changes to 70 clauses and that they are working to clarify clauses relevant to the sector. ​

2,288 personnel from 39 chambers attended hygiene training regarding bread production

​ TOBB conducted training for affiliate chambers personnel regarding hygiene in bread production and sale. While 39 authorized chambers completed their training, 2,288 personnel have received training to date. It is expected that another 51 chambers will complete their training in the coming days. ​

​ TOBB Turkey Air-conditioning Council convened at the TOBB Union Center under the Council President Zeki Poyraz to discuss the issues affecting the sector. ​
