Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

According to the date of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Commerce and TIR Department, during the January of 2014, in comparison to the January of the previous year, the number of Transit Permits have increased by 0.08% while a decrease in TIR Carnets by 25.76% was observed.​

TOBB Board Vice President Çetin Osman Budak attended the introductory meeting for the “Electronic General Assembly System” prepared by the Central Registry Institution held in İstanbul.​

The number of Capacity Reports in 2012 increased by 7.05% in 2013, from 63,937 to 68,443.​

TOBB Turkey Paper and Paper Products Industry Council convened in İstanbul under Council President Erdal Sükan to discuss unfair competition and work on paper standards.​

TOBB Turkey Education Council convened under Council Vice Presidents Eyyüp Kılcı and Cem Gülan in order to discuss matters effecting the sector with the attendances of the high level representatives of the state and private sector and civil society organizations.​

TOBB is undertaking the Development of Competitiveness in the Machinery Sector Project in order to bring the competitive power of the Turkish machinery sector in the global market.​

The number of the newly established companies and cooperatives decreased by 7,59% and 16,42% respectively while sole proprietorships increased by 55,00% according to the previous month.​

At the TOBB Turkey Natural Gas Council meeting, the natural gas demand and the Natural Gas Market Law #4646 were discussed.​

The TOBB Turkey Furniture Products Council discussed the primary problems of the sector, the activity and longevity of which is increasing in national and international competition. In addition macro problems such as off the record economy and unfair competition, VAT and insurance premiums directed at the sector resulting in the agreement that institutions and organizations should be contacted in order to bring resolution to these issues.​

Rates of waste in agriculture were assessed during the meeting presided over by TOBB Board Member Ebubekir Bal.​
