Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with Deputy Minister of Commerce Reza Tuna Turagay and Chamber/Commodity Exchange Presidents, attended the meeting on Promoting International Competitiveness (UR-GE) projects. The meeting, held via video conference, assessed the current projects and the difficulties experienced. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with members of the Board of Directors of the American Companies Association (AmCham Turkey), which is formed by 110 American investor companies operating in Turkey, at a webinar meeting. New areas of cooperation, Covid-19 normalization process, Turkey-US economic relations were discussed. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the General Assembly of the European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) conducted online. Hisarcıklıoğlu's post as Deputy Chairman of EUROCHAMBRES was approved by the General Assembly for 2021.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the council meeting of Chambers of Commerce held via videoconference. The meeting discussed the issues on the agenda of the Chambers of Commerce. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said at the seminar organized within the scope of World Standards Day on October 14th, “We should take a more active role in setting the standards in the world during this period when production and trade are being transformed. We must design the production capacity in our country according to the new standards.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu paid a condolence visit to Gürsel Baran, President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO), for Fuat Ünal, a former President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce who recently passed away. Ankara Chamber of Industry President Nurettin Özdebir also took part in the visit.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, attended the evaluation meeting hosted by Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, TESK President Bendevi Palandöken, TİM President Ismail Gülle, DEİK President Nail Olpak, TÜSİAD President Simone Kaslowski, MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan, TMB President Mithat Yenigün and YASED President Ayşem Sargın made a joint statement against Saudi Arabia's calls for a boycott.​
