Hisarcıklıoğlu calls on banks for “interest rate cut and restructuring”

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, noting that high interest rates are the greatest obstacle to production and investment, said, “We are pleased to see that interest rates have been falling for a while now, however it is still not conducive to engaging in global competition at their present state.”​

Business world wants free trade agreement with US

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, at the Turkey-US business luncheon held at TOBB with the participation of Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan and US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, said, “A free trade agreement or a preferential trade agreement to the same effect must be signed between the United States and Turkey.” Hisarcıklıoğlu, said in speech, “Products produced by Syrian asylum-seekers in an area in Turkey, with special customs consideration by the United States, will facilitate the integration of Syrian refugees into the labor market in Turkey.”​

The 3rd Meeting of the Turkish - Arab Chamber (TAC) was held in Antalya. At the opening of the meeting TAC Co-Chairman and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the TAC Co-Chairman and Arab Chambers Union President Mohammed Abdo Saeed and head of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Federation Ebrahim Al Arabi gave speeches.​
