Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Africa Investment Forum, the Islamic Chamber of Industry and Trade and the Turkish-Africa Joint Chamber meetings held in Egypt.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the Sarp Customs Gate Opening Ceremony said, “If there is trade, there is money. There is prosperity if there is money. Our dream is to turn the trade routes back to this region. We this is the dream we pursue,” and that by renovating the Sarp Border Gate they are a step closer to turning this dream into reality.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the EU-Turkey High Level Economic Dialogue Meeting at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Office co-chaired by the Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and the European Commission Vice President Jyrki Katainen. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the inter-delegation meeting of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Chad President Idris Debi itno, in Turkey for an official visit.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu paid a congratulatory visit to the re-elected President of the Court of Cassation, İsmail Rüştü Cirit. ​

Mediation in Commercial Disputes Symposium was held at the TOBB Twin Towers Conference Hall in Ankara, co-organized the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Ministry of Justice. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they have begun opening Arbitration and Mediation Centers at Chambers in 81 provinces and said, “Without any prejudice, I would like to express that the requirement of mediators to be lawyers should be abolished in regards to commercial disputes. In a dispute where both parties are traders, traders, industrialists and professionals who are experts in fields such as economy and finance should also be able to mediate. Thus, our chambers and exchanges will be able to play a more active role in commercial mediation.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that TOBB’s Chambers and Commodity Exchanges system has come to a point where they are exporting it to the world, “For example, there are requests from the Turkic Republics and the 57 Islamic countries. They want to learn our chamber/commodity exchange system.”​

A step was taken to integrate vocational education with the real sector. The Vocational Training Cooperation Protocol was signed between the Ministry of National Education, the Union Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and TOBB Economics and Technology University at the ceremony hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and attended by Education Minister Ziya Selçuk. Evaluating the protocol as ‘a historic day for both the education system and our business world,’ Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are taking a step that we have voiced the necessity of for years but have been unable to bring to life. We are integrating vocational education with the real sector.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Sectoral Economy Summit convened.​

Employment Mobilization 2019 Presentation Meeting was held with the attendances of Family, Labor and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selcuk, Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​
