Operation for Increasing the Adaptability of Employers and Employees of SMEs by Lifelong Learning
In 2011, TOBB will start a new project on increasing the adaptability of employers and employees of SMEs by lifelong learning, in relatively less developed provinces of Turkey. The project is funded under IPA Human Resources Development Component. %15 national co-funding is provided by TOBB. In this project, Training Support and Coordination Centres will be established at 5 chambers and TOBB. These centres will work primarily for school-company partnership, arrangement of in-company trainings, trainings for employers and employees and etc. They will also try to raise the awareness of companies and help them be more active in vocational training by working more with the schools. The project also includes trainings and study visits for employers and employees, on general and vocational subjects. The trainings for the employers will mainly increase the managerial skills, whereas the trainings for the employers will increase mainly their vocational skills. In study visits, employers and employees will be brought to EU countries, where they will see how specific problems on basic issues like human resources management, accounting etc. are dealt with in SMEs of some other countries and how chambers assist their members on such matters. Moreover, workshops will be organised with the participation of SMEs of more developed regions for the purpose of knowledge and best practice share within the country.
