In order to remain competitive, SMEs need to constantly develop new and innovative ideas. In this process, SMEs often seek government’s assistance in supporting their growth and expansion strategies. Too often, SMEs do not have the capacity to develop these proposals on their own and project preparations are outsourced to non-accredited SME advisors.

To address this issue, TOBB and KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey) have jointly designed the SME Guidance and Technical Consultancy Accreditation System and set the foundation for a credible and competent community of SME advisors in Turkey.

The main purpose of this system is to analyze the current needs of SMEs, identify solutions to their challenges, develop their skills and capabilities and empower them to compete in domestic and foreign markets.
