Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The election for the President, Vice Presidents, and Board Members of the European Chambers of Commerce (Eurochambres) for the 2026-2027 term, where M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), serves as Vice President, was held in Brussels.​

With an announcement published today in the Official Journal of the European Union, Turkish Coffee has been declared a “Traditional Specialty Guaranteed” in the EU as a result of an application made by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), announced that Antep / Gaziantep Lahmacun is the 40th product to receive geographical indication registration from the European Union, saying, “May it be beneficial for Gaziantep and our country. I congratulate our Gaziantep Commodity Exchange President Mehmet Akıncı, who champions our local values, the Gaziantep Commodity Exchange Board of Directors, its Assembly, and everyone who contributed to this achievement.”​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), stated that Hatay Kaytaz Pastry is the 39th product to receive geographical indication registration from the European Union, adding, “May it be beneficial for Hatay and our country. I congratulate Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, President of the İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), who champions our local values, the İskenderun CCI Board of Directors, its Assembly, and everyone who contributed to this achievement.”​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Vice President of the European Chambers of Commerce (Eurochambres) and President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the 7th European Business Assembly held by Eurochambres in the European Parliament Plenary Hall in Brussels.​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the 41st Ministerial Meeting of the Permanent Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and conveyed the views of the Turkish business world.​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), met with Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz during the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Business Leaders Summit to discuss trade and economic relations between Islamic countries. ​

The Islamic Arbitration Center Board of Trustees and Management Board meeting was held at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building.​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), stated that Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, Islamic Development Bank President Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development President Abdullah Saleh Kamel, and Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs President Mehmet Musayev to evaluate the activities to be carried out under the B57+Group umbrella.​
