Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

As a part of the Chamber/Exchange Accreditation System efforts, a Pre-Inspection Briefing was held hosted by TEPAV on the 3rd and 4th, 2014, aimed at 1st and 2nd term accredited chambers which will be undergoing Certification Renewal Inspection this year.​

TOBB 17th Turkish Speaking Entrepreneurs Program Opening Session was held at TOBB Social Facilities. The program, attended by 600 entrepreneurs from 24 countries and 5 autonomous regions, is viewed as one of the most important organizations for forming new cooperation opportunities. ​

The Coordination Council for the Improvement of Investment Environment (YOİKK) Employment Technical Committee meeting was held at the Labor and Social Security Ministry Reşat Moralı meeting hall, presided by Labor and Social Security Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Mehmet Selim Bağlı.​

Following three years of internship, courses and hands-on training, on the eve of taking up office, the 99th term district governor candidates which visited TOBB were briefed on TOBB’s constitutional status, legal base, organization, mission and activities.​

Biga Chamber of Commerce and Industry awarded its members who paid high amounts of institutions and income tax in the 2012 fiscal year as well as its members who conducted a high volume of exports and those who fulfilled their 30th year as members during a ceremony in February 27th, 2014 in Biga.​

Transportation Law Applications and Effects on Economy Workshop was held at TOBB Social Facilities with the attendance of TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete.​

The training seminar in regards to the pilot inspections by the Labor and Social Security Ministry which will take place in 2014 for “Regulations for the Prevention of Large Industrial Accidents and Minimizing Their Effects” published in line with the SEVESO II Directive was held in cooperation with Labor and Social Security Ministry and TOBB took place at the TOBB Conference Hall on the 26th of February, 2014.​

The 3rd TEPAV – BP Energy Forum on the South Gas Corridor Project was held with the attendances of the Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız, TOBB Board and Presidential Council Member Faik Yavuz, British European Union Minister David Lidington and BP Regional President Gordon Birrell.​

Speaking at the DEİK Turkish-Qatari Business Council, TOBB Board and Presidential Council Member Faik Yavuz said, “In line with our strong integration policy with our region as the Turkish business world, we put great emphasis on our relations with the Gulf Region. We support every step to strengthen our cooperation with the Gulf Region.”​

As a part of the Chamber/Exchange Accreditation System efforts, the 11th Term Accreditation process was attended by 29 Chambers/Exchanges at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.​
