Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Speaking at the meeting of ECO-CCI members Turkey, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, TOBB President and ECO - CCI Board Member M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized need for cooperation in the region. Hisarcıklıoğlu urged abolishing protectionist policies of ECO countries; that visas be lifted; ECOTA and arbitration are put into practice; transportation is made safe and fast.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the Turkey-Uzbekistan Round Table Meeting attended by Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Azimov, gave a message of determination to increase trade between the two countries. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they regard Turkey and Uzbekistan as key countries in terms of peace and prosperity of a common geography and that increasing economic relations is very important for the whole region.​

Kosovo Chamber of Commerce Chairman Safet Gerxhaliu and members of the Board accompanying him visited TOBB. During the business luncheon hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu also present in addition to the visiting delegation were TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken, Turkey’s Ambassador to Kosovo Avni Sipahiu, former Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Kutbettin Arzu, GTİ Co. Inc. Board Chairman Arif Parmaksız, TOBB ETU Hospital Board Chair Şadan Eren, Kosovo Honorary Consul Alihan Karacan and Turkish private sector representatives with investments in Kosovo.​

Speaking at the 12th Term Accredited Certification Ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey's biggest wealth is entrepreneurial traders and industrialists, and that with the ceremony, 26 Chambers and Commodity Exchanges have been rated for 5 stars.​

In a press statement to the Anadolu Agency, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) said that as a part of the employment mobilization initiated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, “Inshallah, this employment mobilization will succeed with the support of our government,” calling on private sector representatives to provide at least a single additional job for Turkey's future.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening of the İŞKUR Service Point at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) as a part of the employment mobilization efforts. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu gave an interview to Jordan Television (JRTV) in Amman, Jordan's capital city, which he is visiting on the invitation of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce to attend the Turkey-Jordan Business Forum​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ümit Yalçın, at his office. ​

Members of the Turkish-European Union Joint Consultative Committee (JCC), chaired by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu; TÜRK-İŞ General Chairman Ergün Atalay, TİSK Secretary General Bülent Pirler, TESK Chairman Bendevi Palandöken, TZOB Chairman Şemsi Bayraktar, HAK-İŞ Chairman Mahmut Arslan, MEMUR-SEN Chairman Ali Yalçın and Turkey KAMU-SEN General Legislation Secretary Mehmet Özer convened at TOBB.​

TOBB kicks off “Intelligence in Foreign Trade” training to make non-exporting SMEs into exporters. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they want to raise awareness and encourage SMEs towards foreign trade, “The government produces very comprehensive incentives for investment and export. We will motivate our companies who want to export their goods across borders with information regarding foreign target markets, customers, and various countries’ legislations.”​
