Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Representing the EU-Turkey Joint Consultative Committee Turkey wing; Hak-İş, Memur-Sen, TESK, Türk-İş, TİSK, Kamu-Sen, TOBB and TZOB issued a joint declaration on the anniversary of the July 15th coup attempt. Stating that the true master of sovereignty is not tutelary mentality but the nation itself, representatives of professional and civil society reiterated that, “No power can rule the Republic of Turkey other than the will of the nation.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has issued a message on the anniversary of our nation’s firm stance and solidarity against the treacherous coup attempt on July 15th.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology, at his office. Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Varank on his appointment in the first Cabinet of the Presidential Government System and wished him success. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the wedding ceremony wherein President of TSE and former Rector of TOBB ETU University Dr. Adem Şahin's son Ali Sahin married Simay Saral. Hisarcıklıoğlu, who witnessed the marriage of the young couple, congratulated Şahin and Saral families, wishing the young couple lifelong happiness. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu celebrated the first cabinet of the Presidential Government System announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and wished it success.​

In a statement by TOBB regarding the armed assault on Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry during which Deputy Chairman Hasan Ersoy lost his life while Chairman Devrim Murat Aksoy was wounded on July 3rd, it was stated, “We extend our condolences to the Osmaniye business community. We also hope for a speedy recovery for Devrim Murat Aksoy.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Osmaniye Governor Ömer Faruk Coskun at his office after the armed attack at the in Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry and received information about the attack.​

Following the Turkey-TRNC Economic Relations meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and his accompanying delegation, visited the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry Chairman Candan Avunduk, TRNC Prime Minister Flood Erhür financing, Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akıncı and Turkish Cypriot Parliament Speaker Teberrüken Ulucay.​

Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the Turkish business community would continue to stand by Turkish Cypriots just as they have in the past.​

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the delegation accompanying him comprised of HAK Trade Unions Confederation (Hak-İş) President Mahmut Arslan, Public Servants Syndicates Confederation (Memur-Sen) Chairman Ali Yalcin, Turkey Tradesmen and Artisans Confederation (TESK) Chairman Bendevi Palandöken, Turkey Confederation of Trade Unions (TURK-IS) President Ergun Atalay, Turkey Confederation of Employer Associations (TISK) Executive Board Member Erhan Polat, Turkey Public workers Unions Confederation (Turkey Kamu-Sen) President Önder Kahveci which make up the EU - Turkey Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) Turkey Wing as well as TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz and TEPAV Director Prof. Dr. Güven Sak went to Nicosia upon the invitation of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.​
