We must focus on regional inequality
A cooperation protocol between DEİK and the Development Ministry has been signed in Ankara by TOBB and DEİK President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Development Minister Cevdet Yılmaz. In his speech at the signature ceremony, Hisarcıklıoğlu drew attention to inequality and said, “A one winged bird can’t fly. Every region developing at the same rate is the key which will take us to our goals.”

“I have never been interested in politics”
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated, in answer to allegations claiming that he “has been invited to join the AK Party,” said, “I have never been interested in politics. The only interest I have at the moment is presiding over the Turkish business world.”

“We’ll know what everyone is up to when everyone has a NACE code”
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has initiated training programs regarding classifications for chambers personnel preparing Industry Capacity Reports, reporters and experts. The first training program was regarding “PRODCOM Classifications”. Speaking at the PRODCOM Classification Training for Industry Capacity Reports Meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have been working on NACE codes for a long time and that they have undertaken the work of renewing activity codes, that it will be evident what everyone is doing once everyone has a NACE code.

We must put Mount Ararat on the world tourism map
Attending the opening of the Ağrı Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s new Service Building, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Mount Ararat must be put on the world tourism map while emphasizing partnership culture. Hisarcıklıoğlu promised a school for Ağrı.

Praise for the new Trade Law from Hisarcıklıoğlu
Visiting Governor Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz as part of his Hatay program along with Justice Minister Ergin, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the new Turkish Trade Law embodies the utmost revolutionary changes. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The new Turkish Trade Law will contribute greatly to trade. TOBB ETU lays the foundation of technology to offset current deficit by 6 billion Dollars
The foundation for the TOBB ETU Technology Center which will also house the world’s largest water turbine center has been laid. TOBB ETU Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the ceremony stated that TOBB ETU is the bridge between academics and the business world and went on, “The Technology Center is the result of a shared vision. With this investment we will contribute by offsetting the current deficit by 6 billion Dollars.”
