The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, as a part of his Samsun itinerary, visited Samsun Yurt Defense Industries Inc. factory, Proyem Factory and the new factory constructed at the Samsun Food OIZ, receiving information about the facilities. ​

The eleventh Real Sector & Financial Sector Dialogue Strengthening Meeting organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Turkey (TOBB) & Turkey Banks Union (TBB) was held in Samsun.​

The Union Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu hosted the meeting attended by Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli, with the aim of consulting on the problems and solution proposals of the agriculture and livestock sectors issues.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the working dinner organized by the TOBB and Pakistan Embassy in Ankara, “The trade volume between Turkey and Pakistan, while having such close relations in a myriad of fields, is insufficient. Our bilateral trade, which is just over half a billion dollars, is not fitting for two sister countries.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, emphasizing that they wish to continue the fight against inflation in 2019, said, “This can be accomplished neither by the public, nor the private sector alone. Responsibility and duty belongs to all of us. TOBB and Chambers and Commodity Exchanges will continue to support the Ministry of Treasury and Finance's Anti-Inflation Program in 2019.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu wished everyone peace and prosperity in 2019. In his new year message, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Hopefully 2019 is the year of people with pure wishes and love. I wish for a world with no wars and suffering; a year of growing hope for the future for our children.”​

Speaking at the Gaziantep Business Community Consultation Meeting hosted by the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he believes this turbulent period is temporary, “The foundations of Turkey's economy are robust. Look, we've had dozens of crises and turbulences in the last 25 years. We've overcome them all and we're on our way. Allah willing, we will join together again and bring our country to the place it deserves.”​
