Speaking at the “Trade Wars, Brexit and the Future of Multilateral Trading System” meeting organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Turkey National Committee, TOBB President and the ICC Turkey National Committee Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “There are no winners to trade wars; we all lose. Therefore, the private sector should raise its voice against protectionism and trade barriers and strengthen its persuasion efforts.”​

Speaking at the ‘Role of Intellectual Property for a Strong National Economy Summit,' organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Turkey National Committee, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and ICC Turkey National Committee Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, said, “On the one hand, we have to produce policies to support those who produce ideas, and on the other hand, to protect those ideas.” Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the infringement of intellectual property rights is theft.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu participated in the opening of the Turkish Business and Investment Forum and gave a speech in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu took part in the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry Consultative Meeting held in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan. ​

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu who was in Uzbekistan as part of a business visit.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu held several meetings in Uzbekistan. Meeting with President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, Dr. Adham Ikramov, Hisarcıklıoğlu and his delegation were later received by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Elnor Ganiev. The issue of developing economic relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan were discussed at the meeting. Hisarcıklıoğlu conveyed the opinions and expectations of Turkish investors.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, attending the 2nd Leadership Academy, gave a speech at the panel on the relationship between geographical markers and agriculture and rural development.​

Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Ankara, Alisher Agzamhodjaev visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Bilateral economic relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan were discussed at the meeting.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the US Chamber of Commerce Department of Middle East and Turkey Senior Vice President Khush Chosky and the delegation accompanying him.​

Siirt Commerce and Industry Chamber President Güven Kuzu visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office. ​
