The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and the European Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the EUROCHAMBRES Board meeting in Brussels.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and the European Chamber of Commerce Association (EUROCHAMBRES) Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Negotiations to modernize the Customs Union should begin. Postponement of this issue for political reasons is unjust. This modernization is beneficial for Turkey and the EU.”​

The Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) President Rifat M. Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Chamber / Exchange Councilor Briefing Seminar and met with council members.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Ministry of Commerce Advisory Council Review Meeting held in Istanbul presided over by Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan. Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech, “At a time of increased instability in the global economy and rising geopolitical risks, the period free of elections are a golden opportunity for the 82 million for Turkey to progress towards its goals.​

Attending the Turkey-EU Business Dialogue Project Chamber Pairing Project Kick Off Meeting, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and European Business and Industry Association (EUROCHAMBRES) Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that more dialogue is necessary, expressing their view on the importance of this project in that it brings together the actual actors of Turkey-EU integration. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We have secured a 2.5 million Euro grant support from the EU for this project. 30 Chambers and Exchanges from Turkey have been paired with 28 from the European Union in order to actualize 19 projects together.”​

MODEF 2019 41st International İnegöl Furniture Fair opened with the attendances of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat, Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktas, İnegöl Mayor Alper Taban, İnegöl Commerce and Industry Chamber President Yavuz Uğurdağ as well as neighboring provincial and district chamber / commodity exchange presidents.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, expressing his wish for the local election results to benefit our country, said, “Elections are done. We're entering a period of 4.5 years without elections. From now on, Turkey's economy should be the first item on the agenda. There are many steps to be taken in the economy; we have a lot to do. We should turn this period into a period of uninterrupted action.”​
