Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Carried out by Yıldız Technical University and Turkey Reputation Academy, this year's 8th Turkey Reputation Index Survey elected the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu as Turkey's Most Prestigious Business World Non-Governmental Organization Leader.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca in his office. The meeting was held closed to the press. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Yassıada visit. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was briefed on the works in Yassıada, which was reorganized as “Island of Democracy and Freedoms.” Erdoğan said in his assessment, “The Island of Democracy and Freedoms will be opened at the end of the year. There can be no coups in this country.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu celebrated the “Insurance Week” during the last week of May every year throughout the country with various activities in order to increase the general insurance awareness.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Trans-Caspian Forum 2019 conference organized by the US Chamber of Commerce and the Caspian Policy Center. Hisarcıklıoğlu was the keynote speaker at the conference on infrastructure investments in the region. Hisarcıklıoğlu shared the views of the Turkish business community at the conference.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that it is necessary to sign a free trade agreement should be signed between the two countries in order to reach the 75 billion USD trade volume goal set by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the GS1 General Assembly, stated that 2019 will be a transformative year for retail sales, “Technology will change the rules of engagement. Consumers, customers, will demand more than ever. Therefore, we should use 2019 as a year for digital moves.”​

Under TOBB’s leadership, Turkey's top 100 fastest growing companies were identified in collaboration with TEPAV. Biomar Sagun Feed Industry, headquartered in Aydın, ranked first by increasing its turnover by 5,324% in two years. Award-winning entrepreneurs and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu posed for a commemorative photo at the end of the meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Samsun Çarşamba Airport. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech during the ceremony, said, “We, as the Turkish business world, continue to work with the same spirit and conviction from 1919 to 2019. 100 years later, we are now fighting for a future in the economic sphere. As the Turkish private sector, we say that if we could do it yesterday, we can do it today. Working together, we will ensure that Turkey becomes one of the world's largest economies and takes its place among the leading nations.​

In Samsun for Turkey 100 meetings, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the heads of chamber and commodity exchanges from all over Turkey who are visiting the city.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu laid a wreath and stood in salute at the Atatürk monument in the Samsun First Step Square on occasion of May 19th Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day.​
