Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The 63rd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Economic Development Foundation (IKV) was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) İstanbul Service Building.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Creative Industries Council convened at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building to elect the new management under the moderation of TOBB Board Member Işınsu Kestelli and TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department Head A. Saygın Baban.​

During the first six months of the year 2025 the number of newly established Companies and the number of cooperatives decreased by 0,9% and 24,9% while the number of sole proprietorships increased by 19,1% according to the same period of the year 2024.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Automotive Industry Council convened under the chairmanship of Council President Cengiz Eroldu with the participation of TOBB Vice Chairman Şekib Avdagiç, who is responsible for the Council.​

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Representative Office in Türkiye and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Directorate of Exchanges came together at TOBB Twin Towers on 17 July 2025. The meeting was attended by Özcan Türkoğlu, Senior Program Coordinator and Ali Ağören, Program Specialist from FAO Turkey, and Dr. İslime Pınar Nacak, Tahir Arguç and Özüm Rıza Karaca, Director of Exchanges, on behalf of TOBB Directorate of Exchanges.​

The First Meeting of the Women’s Empowerment Coordination Board was held in Ankara chaired by the of Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş with the participation of Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) paid a return visit to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Türkiye Office to evaluate cooperation opportunities for geographical indications and local development.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Electronics Council convened via video conference method under the chairmanship of Süleyman Alkan, Vice Chairman of the Council, and with the participation of Seyit Ardıç, Member of the Board of Directors of TOBB, in order to make a general evaluation of the sector.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Paper and Paper Products Industry Council President Orhan Öğücü, Council Member Ersin Tezol, TOBB Sector Councils Manager Ayşe Çelebi Doğan and TOBB Sector Specialist İrem Ardıç visited Deputy Minister of Trade Ö. Volkan Ağar and Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change General Director of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permitting and Inspection Eyyüp Karahan in their offices.​

A coordination meeting was held in Konya, one of the pilot provinces within the scope of the Deposit Management System (DYS) to be implemented on a national scale, for public and private sector representatives on the field implementation, technical infrastructure and cooperation requirements of the DYS.​
