Three containers to Van from TOBB
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) continues to mend the wounds of the Van earthquake. Working to meet the needs of the region after the Van quake, TOBB has sent three more containers to Van.

Defense industry requests special credit mechanism for the sector for exports
TOBB Turkey Defense Industry Council President Yılmaz Küçükseyhan and Vice Presidents Haluk Bulucu and Ahmet Demir visited the Treasury Deputy Undersecretary Cavit Dağdaş in his office. The committee, under Küçükseyhan’s lead, requesting a special credit for the sector, met with Eximbank General Director Hayrettin Kaplan and Deputy General Director Mesut Gürsoy as well Cavit Çağdaş.

The effects of bio-fuel policy on food and feed industry were discussed at TOBB
“The Effects of Bio-Fuel Policy on Food and Feed Industry” Panel was held at TOBB Social Facilities. Making the opening speech of the panel, TOBB Food Industry Council President Necdet Buzbaş pointed out the fact that food holds more strategic importance than fuel oil and that they support decreasing the use of fossil fuels. Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry Undersecretary Vedat Mirmahmutoğulları drew attention to the fact that 56% of the world’s population is suffering from lack of food and that the arable lands are diminishing every day.
