407 fairs held in 213 visited by 15.5 million
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has announced its 2013 fairs statistics. According to announcement, a total of 407 fairs were visited by 15,500,048 people. The number of foreign visitors was at 527,748. At the fairs, 60,520 companies had booths.

Accreditation training underway for chambers and exchanges
As part of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey accreditation system efforts, the 10th and 11th Term Chambers/Exchanges which joined the process are undergoing their “ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Basic Briefing and Documentation Training”. The training lasts 3 days and is held in three groups.

TOBB begins Quality Management System Training
The Quality Management System Training for the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey personnel has begun. The ISO 9001:2008 Documentation Training was held for the internal assessors and department quality charges.

Visa Briefing Meeting held at TEPAV for the business community
Speaking at the TOBB-EU Delegation Visa Briefing Meeting held at TEPAV, TOBB Presidential Council Member Faik Yavuz stated that the visa policies of countries like those of Schengen states remain the single most significant obstacle to the development of economic relations Turkey and EU.

Mete: Turkey has become one of the world’s tourism giants
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Vice President Halim Mete stated that Turkey has become one of the world’s tourism giants, “In the last 30 years, the number of tourists throughout the world has increased by 5 times, while Turkey has increased the number of tourists it draws in by 120 times over.”

TOBB Chambers and Exchanges Regulations Training completed with county chambers
The “TOBB Chambers and Exchanges Regulations” training which began with commodity exchanges between the 19th and 21st of February, 2014, and continuing with province chambers between the 24th and 26th of February, has been completed with the training of county chambers. Attending the training were approximately 200 personnel, half of them secretaries general, from 157 chambers of commerce and chambers of commerce and industry in 160 counties.
