TOBB Turkey Energy Council demands solution to the license inflation

TOBB Turkey Energy Council convened to assess the problems of the sector. Council members demanded that the license applications for electricity production from natural gas and coal be subject to a stricter control structure.​ ​

Regulation regarding volatile substances needs to be revised

TOBB Turkey Chemical Industry Council delegation led by Council President Timur Erk visited the Health Ministry Undersecretary Prof. Dr. Nihat Tosun. Council President Timur Erk stated that the Regulation Regarding the Protection of Human Health from the Hazards of Volatile Substances in its present state is inhibitive to industrialists and that it should be revised.​ ​

Inspections being replaced by counseling activities

TOBB Turkey Education Council convened at the TOBB Union Center in Ankara with the attendance of high level representatives of the public administration, private sector and NGOs. National Education Ministry representatives stated that, with the restructuring of the Ministry, inspections would be replaced by counseling activities.​ ​

TOBB Product Safety Training conducted in Konya

The Product Safety Training coordinated by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey was held in Konya, hosted by the Konya Chamber of Industry. There was significant interest in the Electronic Equipment and Energy Efficiency training from the members of the Konya Chamber of Industry.​ ​

The number of the newly established companies decreased by 27,54 % in Febuary 2012 with respect to previous month.

The number of the newly established companies decreased by 27,54 %, the number of the newly established sole proprietorships decreased by 15,32 %, and while the number of the newly established cooperatives increased by 19,72 respectively according to the previous month.​ ​

TOBB Turkey Fairs Council assesses fair endorsements

TOBB Turkey Fairs Council meeting was held at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building with the Council President Serdar Yalçın presiding over the meeting. Attending the meeting on behalf of the Economy Ministry Fairs Department, Ahmed Şevket Yurt provided information regarding international fair endorsements. Yurt stated that amendments to the International Fair Endorsements Legislation as per the demands of council members.​ ​

“Product Safety” training was held in Mersin on March 14th, 2012. Attending the Electrical Equipment and Energy Efficiency training coordinated of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and hosted by the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) was attended by Mersin TSO and Machinery Engineers Chamber Mersin Branch members.​ ​

TOBB Turkey Automotive Subsidiary Industry Council convened at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building with Ahmet Bayraktar presiding. Council members’ views on the sector’s 2023 vision were noted and a need for focusing on investing in the development of personnel was expressed.​ ​

Automotive Council expects reforms regarding renewed part imports

TOBB Turkey Automotive Commerce Council came together at the Union İstanbul Service Building under Yüksel Mermer. The council demanded legislative reform regarding the renewed part import permit granted by the Economy Ministry and clarification on the differences of renewed and used parts. It was decided that a preliminary study would be conducted before the demands are brought to the Ministry.​ ​
