Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB Turkey Civil Aviation Council meeting was held in İstanbul, presided over by Council Chair Teoman Tosun with the participation of high level representatives of public, private sector and non-governmental organizations.​

TOBB Turkey Higher Education Council, presided over by Council Chair Bekir Okan, convened with the participation of chairs of the foundation universities’ boards of trustees and Chairman of the Council of Higher Education. Dr. M. A. Yekta Saraç.​

The first meeting of E-Commerce Council, established as a part of TOBB in order to provide sector cohesion, was held with the participation of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci.​

During the meeting of the TOBB Turkey Energy Council, convening under TOBB Executive Board İbrahim Çağlar, held in Istanbul, SANKO Enerji San. And Tic. Inc. Deputy Chairman İhsan Akyol was elected as Council Chair while Polat Enerji Industry and Commerce Co. Inc. CEO Gökmen Topuz and Enerjisa Enerji Co. Inc. Regulation and Institutional Relations Director Necmi Odyakmaz were elected as Vice Presidents.​

Following the great success of the eTIR Pilot Project between Turkey and Iran, Turkey is preparing plans for a new inter-modal trade corridor with Ukraine over the Black Sea.​

Turkey-Iran Agricultural Business Forum was attended by Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Faruk Celik and Iranian Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati and hosted by TOBB. Also present at the meeting was TOBB Treasurer Faik Yavuz representing TOBB.​

Turkish Foundry Industry Council convened for its ordinary council meeting with the attendances of Ministry of Economy General Directorate of Importation Department of Textile Surveillance and Protection Measures Director Murat Gören and Branch Manager Yavuz Gökçayır as well as Alper Kürşat Alkan and Sude Gürcan on behalf of the Ministry of Economy General Directorate of Foreign Investments.​

TOBB Board Member Memiş Kütükcü attended the 2nd Education Congress held in Antalya with the participation of the Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz. Speaking at the inauguration of the Education Congress, he said that the world is talking about Industry 4.0, and that the current administrative and education system are in danger of increasing unemployment in Turkey with the advent of Industry 4.0.​

TOBB Turkey Furniture Products Council convened in Ankara with the participation of high level representatives of public, private sector and non-governmental organizations, presided over by TOBB Board Member Şahin Bilgiç.​

TOBB Turkish Health Institutions Assembly, President of the Assembly in TOBB Twin Towers Seyit Karaca came to the presidency. Semiha Akdağ and Hacer Savaş, representing Social Security Institution, participated in the meeting as well as the Presidential Council and members of the council.​
