M. İbrahim Turhan elected TOBB Turkey Capital Market Council President
The Council President Cabinet election was held during the first meeting of the TOBB Turkey Capital Market Council which was attended by the TOBB Board Member Mustafa Boydak. Council Members elected İstanbul Stock Exchange Market (İMKB) President M. İbrahim Turhan as president, Gedik Investment Securities Inc. Board President Erhan Toğaç and Halk Investment Securities Inc. General Director Murat Çetinkaya as Vice Presidents.

FTA signed between Turkey and South Korea
During the meeting attended by the TOBB Board Vice President Faik Yavuz, Economy Minister Zafer Çağlayan and the South Korean Trade Minister Taeho Bark signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Turkey and South Korea.

Mete: YOİKK action plans will facilitate the development of the investment environment
TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete attended the Investment Environment Development Coordinaion Council (YOİKK) convened under Economy Minister Zafer Çağlayan. Speaking at the meeting held at the Economy Ministry Uğur Ercan Meeting Hall, Mete said that the YOİKK process has 10 years behind it and that the privat sector has been involved in the process ever since it started. Stating that there are revisions being made in the private sector work groups, Mete said, “As the private sector, we have strived to unify our efforts and make effective suggestions. We have formulated a serious action plan.”

Health Institutions Council discussed communiqués regarding the sector
TOBB Health Institutions Council convened under Council President Seyit Karaca. TOBB ETU Joint Education and Career Development Coordinator Ziya Sülünbe made a presentation regarding the Joint Education Program during the meeting wherein the communiqués regarding the sector were discussed. Council Vice President Mehmet Altuğ assessed various developments in the sector and the intensive care communiqué.
