Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB Board Member Şahin Bilgiç attended the Turkey – Tartary Mediterranean Economy and Trade Forum organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEİK) and hosted by the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Mersin HiltonSA.​

The 3rd International Insurance Symposium, organized by the Insurance Training Center (SEGEM), held as a part of the Insurance Week celebrated May 26 - June 1 took place in order to raise awareness in regards to the issue of insurance. TOBB Board Vice President and SEGEM Executive Committee Member Ender Yorgancılar attended the symposium in addition to the Treasury Deputy Undersecretary Burhanettin Aktaş and Turkey Insurance Union Vice President Ragıp Yergin.​

Representatives of the air conditioning sector convened at TOBB. Presided over by Zeki Poyraz, the Turkey Air Conditioning Council Subcommittee Meeting focused on legislation concerning the sector.​

Prior to the 70th Financial General Assembly, commission and councils of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) convened at the TOBB Union Center.​

TOBB Turkey Petroleum and Petroleum Goods Industry Subcommittee meeting was held at the TOBB Union Center in Ankara, presided over by Muammer Ekim.​

The number of newly established companies, cooperatives and sole proprietorships decreased by 1,26%, 4,41% and 11,01% respectively according to the previous month.​

The Coordination Council for the Improvement of Investment Environment in Turkey (YOİKK) Employment Technical Committee convened, chaired by the Labor and Social Security Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Mehmet Selim Bağlı. Attending the meeting were representatives of TOBB, TÜSİAD, TİM and YASED, TİSK, Türk-İş, HAK-İŞ and various state institutions and organizations.​

The fifth Sarajevo Investment Forum, sponsored by TOBB, was held in Sarajevo on May 14th, 2014. The forum, held under the patronage of the Bosnia Herzegovina Presidential Council Chairman Bakir Izetbegovich was attended by TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay as well as many Presidents, Prime Ministers and Ministers from the Balkans.​

TOBB Board Member Necdet Özer represented TOBB during the Economy Minister, Nihat Zeybekci’s Jordan visit on the 27th - 29th of April, 2014. Burkay gave a speech during the business forum attended by the Economy Minister Zeybekci and the Jordanian Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hatem Halavani on the 27th of April.​

As part of the preparations for the 70th General Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Tax Commission, Financial Policy Commission, Social Policy Council and SME Policies Council presidents and members exchanged views on domestic and global economy. ​
