TOBB ETU Engineering Faculty and Nanotechnology Engineering Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Saleh Sultansoy has been awarded the Turkic World Red Apple Award in the field of science.​

The SME Information Site was visited by 42,877people in May 2016. The total number of hits between June 2015 and May 2016, a period of one year, was 479,956.​​

Of the 2,447 capacity reports verified in May, 611 were in İstanbul, 150 in İzmir, 147 in Ankara, 140 in Bursa, 116 in Konya, 89 in Gaziantep and Kocaeli, 62 in Tekirdağ and Manisa, 56 in Adana.​​

The European Union Education Forum was held in Kocaeli with the attendances of 120 teachers and education related professionals, academics, journalists and NGO representatives from 19 provinces throughout Turkey between May 30th and July 1st of 2016. Host Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Chair Ayhan Zeytinoğlu represented EU Turkey Delegation Vice Chair Bela Szombati at the opening ceremony on May 31st.​

The Customs and Commerce Ministry - TOBB Turkey Transportation and Logistics Council Coordination Meeting was held in Ankara with TOBB Vice Chair Halim Mete attending. The meeting garnered great interest from the sector at large; discussed at the meeting were expectations of the Customs and Commerce Ministry, issues encountered at customs and wishes of the sector. Ministry representatives provided information regarding the Ministry’s 2016 endeavors and 2017 projects.​

Held in partnership by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Konya Chamber of Industry and Konya Commodity Exchange, the a meeting with the goal of providing information on the “Participation of Syrians in the Job Market as Part of Temporary Asylum” was held.​

TOBB Turkey Glass and Glass Products Industry Council convened under Council Chair Gizep Sayın with the attendances of TOBB Vice Chair Ender Yorgancılar and the representatives of private sector and NGOs.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in cooperation with the Labor and Social Security Ministry (ÇSGB) Work Inspection Department, the “Work Health and Safety at Food, Beverage and Tobacco Producing Establishments Business Conduct Seminar” was hosted by the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry.​
