Increase in exports in the leather sector

TOBB Turkey Leather and Leather Products Industry Council convened under Council President Hakkı Matraş. During the meeting where Matraş provided information regarding the recent developments in the sector, Council Vice President Lemi Tolunay provided information regarding the exports in the leather and leather products sector.​ ​

This week on the “Sector Councils” program moderated by Prof. Dr. Kerem Alkin and Ali Çağatay on Bloomberg HT, the problems of the Fairs Sector were assessed. According to Journey Authorization Permits and TIR Carnet Issued Statistics by TOBB;

During the November of 2012, there has been an increase in the number of Journey Authorization Permits by 6.03% and an increase in the number of TIR Carnets issued by 5.52% in comparison to November of the previous year. ​ ​

The Future of Transportation and Transit Transportation in the Black Sea, Central Asia and Middle East Regions Conference was hosted by the Transportation Minister Binali Yıldırım with the partnership of TOBB and IRU (International Road Transport Union), held on the 28th of November, 2012 in İzmir. Yavuz: Becoming one of the ten largest economies of the world is possible through the private sector

In his speech at the Small and Medium Sized Establishments Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) General Assembly, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Vice President Faik Yavuz stated that Turkey must provide the same business environment as its competitors as those who fall behind in global competition will surely fall behind in the global race. Stating that as long as equal conditions are provided, there are no countries with which we cannot compete, Yavuz said, “Becoming one of the ten largest economies of the world is possible through the private sector.”​ ​
